Where did you actually learn to use Instagram and Facebook well?
I've been putting more effort into sharing my night sky work on Instagram and Facebook, but honestly I feel like I'm fumbling through both platforms without a real understanding of how they're supposed to work. Posting a Milky Way panorama from Joshua Tree and getting crickets makes you question whether it's the image or just how you're using the platform.
I'm not looking for scattered tips. I want something structured, a proper course or resource that covers both platforms from the ground up. How the algorithms work, what posting cadence matters, how to actually build an audience rather than just shouting into the void.
Has anyone here gone through a course or program that genuinely changed how they approach social media for their art? Not just "post reels" advice, but something comprehensive. Would appreciate hearing what actually moved the needle for you.
I have to admit I have been using Facebook for about 15 years, and the weirdest thing I experienced, is take over 8 years to make 1,000 Facebook friends, & then in 3 weeks I got about 3,500 Facebook Friend Request & despite the Fact that I have had almost 5,000 Facebook Friends, I get 0 to 2 likes on my Facebook postings, which is kind of annoying. If you visit the Photo Album of my Facebook account you will find 4 poetry books & 4 cartoon story books I created.
