Where did you actually learn to use Instagram and Facebook well?

I have to admit I have been using Facebook for about 15 years, and the weirdest thing I experienced, is take over 8 years to make 1,000 Facebook friends, & then in 3 weeks I got about 3,500 Facebook Friend Request & despite the Fact that I have had almost 5,000 Facebook Friends, I get 0 to 2 likes on my Facebook postings, which is kind of annoying.
