Sunrise in the Grand Canyon

Post image 1

I only had 24 hours in the Grand Canyon, which is nowhere near enough. Its not only huge, but incredibly humbling. As the sun rose and I watched the sun creep across the canyon, the light and shadows revealed this incredible landscape.

Devils Tower Majesty

Post image 1

Devils Tower Majesty presents the towering monolith in striking black and white, revealing its unique textured columns against a sky alive with soft, drifting clouds. The surrounding trees and meadow ground the scene, offering a natural contrast to this iconic formation. This piece invites a moment of calm reflection while adding a bold, natural statement to your space.

Color can be found everywhere

Post image 1
I tend to gravitate to big colors and big scenes, but this photo reminds us that small, compressed scenes like this one (shot through the bushes at the edge of the Grand Canyon at sunset) can feel just as big and just as colorful, when you think a little differently. Shot with my favorite 70-200mm lens...something I go to often for when I need a landscape portrayed outside of the norm.

Gotta be a morning person here...

Post image 1
Forget sunsets...Bryce Canyon is all about the start of the day! With 18 miles of east-facing cliffs, it's a morning-person's favorite place to be. This was shot several years ago from one of the iconic viewpoints, right next to the main lodge. The only tough part was being in location, with tripod setup, at 5:30am :)
