The easel is always ready for me to step up and paint, and the colorful rug is painter-friendly and a wee bit magical.

Pastel sticks stay lined up on a table to my right, with oil paints and brushes and my palette on a cabinet to my left. There's just enough room fro me to mosey up to my easel and choose which medium I'll paint with next.,

Family heirlooms make my studio a welcoming place. My computer desk is my grandmother's old Singer sewing machine! I keep all clutter out of the studio so I only see things I love.

A tall set of drawers hold all the stuff-- tapes, pens and pencils, stickers, business cards, tools and cutters... and a small basket on the floor holds any temporary art safely. The dog is essential to keeping squirrels and suspicious characters out of my studio while I'm working.

Our parrot has his own platform and collection of toys in the studio, where he plays some but also keeps a critical eye on what I'm doing at the easel.

I keep a table with a self-healing cutting board on it and that space is dedicated to framing. Nothing else allowed on it! All my tools are in a basket on the corner.
