Black Oak Savanna, Early Spring — Tolleston Ridge Favorite room Mockup

The Tolleston Dune Ridge in the Indiana Dunes National Parkmarks an ancient shoreline—once the edge of Lake Michigan, now preserved in elevation and form.
Here, one of the Midwest’s remaining Black Oak savannas still opens—light moving freely between trees in a landscape that has largely disappeared elsewhere.
This was early spring, before the canopy closes, when color and structure briefly separate.
Nothing here was altered—only observed, as it appeared within the moment.
A quiet remnant of shoreline and ecosystem, still intact, still easily overlooked.
I like this image in this room setting (2nd photograph). #landscapelovers #naturelovers #naturephotography #scenicviews
Makes me want to walk between the trees. Great shot.
Ahhh Mission Accomplished. Thank you.
