Silent Weight

Post image 1

I’m just starting my art journey, so this isn’t perfect, but I’d love to hear your honest thoughts. I tried to capture a moment of vulnerability and quiet sadness.

Wonderful piece. Would you mind bringing it to my online exhibition? I'm Alexander by the way.

I’m new to this—would it be a problem for you to tell me how?

Going straight for something this raw on your first share is braver than most people manage after years.

You have achieved several successes at once with this effort. It is immediately affecting with your intended message, the quality brush strokes create a skeletal depth across the figure and the frailty of the collapsed body is emphasized by the wavey hair completing the eye from the draped gown to the bare shoulder and head above. Indeed a stellar start

Wow, this really has an emotional impact!

Naming it 'Silent Weight' and putting it out there before you even feel ready takes the kind of nerve that builds entire careers.

I’m still scared. By nature, I’m a perfectionist and I always feel like something is missing. But I’m still a complete beginner, and there’s still a lot to learn.

Naming it 'Silent Weight' already tells me you know exactly what you're going after. The fact that you're putting this out into the world at the very start of your journey says everything.
