Hey hey! 👋 Sculptures chasing natural textures and minimalist forms is such a good instinct, the quiet-reflection line is honestly what pulls people back to a piece. What kind of materials are you working with right now?
I've spent years looking for artists who keep things as simple as you describe, and I find maybe one in twenty. Most people add when they should subtract. Your approach, holding onto what's actually there instead of decorating it, that's the harder path. I'm curious what textures you're drawn to, because my own eye goes straight to the worn surfaces, the patina that tells you something was used. Flea markets taught me that. Looking forward to seeing the work.
