Wild horses could not keep me away.
This group was taken during a tour of a wild horse preserve in Wyoming. Each horse here is a "three time looser", meaning that it was a wild horse and there have been three separate attempts to own and domesticate the horse - and three rejections. Thay are now here for the rest of their natural.
During the tour and a lot of learning and discussion I mentioned that this group had not moved for fifteen minutes. I was very surprised at the answer - They are sleeping. I found it incredible, and still do, that such large animals could sleep standing up.
Traveling is about learning.

Nice capture of the group. Didn't know that is the way they sleep.
