From my TX spring migration trip, a few photographs of a Reddish Egret in White Morph. Probably not a unique thing in Texas but this was a first for me.
That first-for-me sighting energy makes the whole trip feel different, doesn't it. I'm curious what the light was doing when you shot these, white morph birds in spring migration feel like they'd either glow or wash out completely depending on the hour. Were you chasing specific conditions or did you just get lucky with what the day gave you?
thank you Ethan, I dabble in architecture, mostly old barns, and shoot landscapes......easier in there own way.....birds are the worst models, mostly they never do what you want.
REDDISH EGRET IN WHITE MORPH, that capitalisation in your head when you see it for the first time is exactly right. I shoot mostly architecture, not birds, but that same thing happens when fog finally lands the way you hoped it would. First sightings have their own gravity.
