Where the Sea Restores Calm

After such an emotional day, spent revisiting my father's boat, the memories of other times and the celebrations that continue to unite Ericeira with the sea, Belinha headed to Praia do Cavalinho — the place where she can return to her calm.

On the surface, the rocks shelter a small cove. Underwater, everything happens at a different pace.

For about an hour, she swam among sandy bottoms, rocks and seaweed, watching the seabreams that approached quietly. No noise, no hurry, only the movement of the water and the life that reveals itself in it.

There are places that awaken memories.
And there are others that help us welcome them.

After recalling where I come from, I return to the sea — the place where I again find myself.
