LB Wildlife Portraits

Translated from Français

Hi all

I thought I would finally get around to introduce myself.

My name is Lynton

Today, I create wildlife realism art in charcoal that focuses on the intimate presence of animals, especially big cats and other creatures of the natural world. My work is rooted in realism, but it is also shaped by emotion, memory, and reverence. I am drawn to the subtle details that reveal character — the texture of fur, the intensity of the eyes, the tension in a pose, the stillness before movement. Through charcoal, I aim to capture not only what an animal looks like, but something of what it feels like to encounter one.

My artwork is a continuation of the same lifelong dialogue with wildlife, only now expressed with a different hand. Where professional wildlife photography once preserved a fleeting instant, drawing allows me to linger in it. Each piece becomes a study in form, atmosphere, and connection — a way of celebrating the beauty of wildlife while inviting viewers to feel closer to the wild world we share.

There are no prints of my work now.

I only sell the Originals.

Just near a small highway is Mount Elbert. It's the biggest of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado.

Carpal tunnel pt 2

Once again my and hurts. This and others will have to remain unfinished until my hand recuperates. I’ve been drawing nonstop for over a week now. My hand can’t take it anymore I have to put it in a brace for the time being.

Island of Life

“Island of Life” proposes an autonomous space where the elements coexist in balance. The work invites reflection on independence, connection, and the silence of space.

Scammers sound like this

I've listened to some artists ask the (super-helpful) ASF staff about potential customers wanting to complete a large purchase outside of ASF.

These are SCAMMERS, and they sound like this:

"hilary33 commented on Small Win - First Win: Hello, I truly admire your work it’s both creative and inspiring. I would love the opportunity to purchase your work. I’m prepared to pay 2000usd per photo (or another rate you feel is fair). Please let's proceed throughwhattap+1 (240) 989-1359

May 5, 2026 3:21 AM"

We're advised to ignore and not to engage. Personally, I'd prefer to string them along for days/weeks and waste their time...but then that would be a waste of my time...

Then again, James Veitch has made a career of it on Youtube and Ted talks (can't link here, but worth looking up for a laugh :0)
