That eye is so sharp it almost follows you. I tried sketching a kestrel once at a rehabilitation center and couldn't get the focus right, that intensity you captured here. The way the beak curves catches the light beautifully against those softer background tones.

That eye contact is everything. I've tried shooting raptors a handful of times and the patience required is humbling, they move when they want to move and you just wait. The detail you caught in the feather texture against that soft background works really well.
