The Art of Selling Art

Welcome to The Art of Selling Art

What this community is for:

Selling art is a skill. Like drawing. Like composition. You can learn it.

This is the room where we do that together. Marketing, pricing, finding collectors, closing the sale, all of it.

Who am I?
Career artist & photographer since 2012.
Almost $2M in art sales
TEDx Speaker about my art "Beautiful Things That Are Gone"
Helping artists sell their art since 2018.

Here's your first ask:

Drop a comment and tell me:

What's the one thing about marketing or selling your art that's been driving you crazy?

Be specific. The more honest you are, the more useful this gets.

I read everyone.

Let's go.

Hello, Jason! I live in Ukraine. I'd like to ask for your advice on how and where I can sell my paintings abroad, if that's possible, of course.

I'm also interested in this question. How does one promote their work beyond their own country? I am in Melbourne, Australia.

Great! I'm not alone! I hope we'll get an answer to our question.

I sell art. But I hate always asking, always putting my heart out there and asking for the sale.

This is worth discussing because if you're selling already, then this is your bottleneck. I want to go deeper on this on the call.
1. What do you hate about asking for the sale?

  1. What do you think an art sale is? Like, what is someone buying from you?

I post most days. I am trying to build my Followers on Instagram everyday. My reels get up to 1.5K views. But no sales. What was the key strategy you used that made early sales?
