How to draw a holiday?

Post image 1

The pollen from the pink and white marshmallows from Bobruisk in the sky of Nesvizh is a feeling of celebration and a joyful evening. And what is the reflection of the celebration in the painting for you: flags, balloons, or...? Artist S.P. Lebekhov-Peterhof "Nesvizh in Pink and White" 2026, oil on canvas, 60x70 cm

Those pink and white blooms against the evening sky do feel celebratory. For me it's the canopy itself, the way spring fills the whole upper space with color and you can almost smell it in the air. Flags feel too deliberate, this is more generous than that.

The pink and white sky does the lifting here. When I shoot objects I'm always chasing that same thing, warmth that signals occasion without spelling it out. A lit lamp can feel like a party if the glow is right.
