I have an acrylic painting done on paper. Any feedback is welcome.

@Annalie Lamprecht I like the painting . . . there is a serenity to the portrait that is appealing; though the very straight edge of the top of the head doesn't seem to fit along with the rest of the painting. Either the hair could somehow be extend to hint at the remainder of her head or the abstract background could bleed down into the hair a bit to break up that line.

And it seems that the color within the hair ends rather abruptly before reaching the line of the bangs. The negative space there, I think, would benefit from being broken up a bit.

That's my 2 cents.

Hi, thanks for your advice! Her head is resting against a windowsill, but I agree, it does look confusing. Think I try your suggestion.

just to clarify, I was talking about the very top of her head. I have no problems with her face, on her right (viewer's left).

Wow, no takers yet . . . I'll bite. I was going to upload 4 new ones for comment but now learned that there is a single image limit here. This will be an addition to my "On My Mind" Gallery and is titled Conservation Conversation. I have been experimenting more with compositing in this collection in order to expand it beyond the purely still life creation that the in the early days of the collection. Early on, I was placing mostly botanicals inside the head for the set-ups. The collection has gradually grown from there with more compositing of either single or multiple images and even fractals. More to come, perhaps I'll wait a week to post them here in Feedback Fridays, though I must confess I have not found these communities to be much interested in commenting, critiquing, or discussing much of anything unless it is directly associated with the marketing of websites and social channels. Sorry, but "up votes" or "liking" really doesn't tell me s**t . . . carry on!

Extra eyes on something you just finished. That takes guts.
