Description
This painting's overall mood is serene and windswept, with careful attention to the cliff side detail. The rocks fan out in a wave from the shore out to the water. The colors of the rocks were of the rainbow. I spent hours on the rocks, starting with an underpainting of Derwent Inktense Sticks. I created depth with colors, bright in the foreground, dark in the background. The deep purples and blues in the cave accentuate this. A large piece for "pride of place."
