Arched Figure

Description

Arched Figure presents a metallic human form extended across a sweeping dark support, one leg reaching outward as the other bends overhead. Its finely patterned surface catches the light, giving the acrobatic pose a sense of motion and balance. This sculptural installation offers a distinctive focal point for a gallery wall or contemporary living space.

Artist

Sculptor in Pittsburgh. Mid scale figurative work in reclaimed steel, torsos and hands mostly, sourced from old bridges and machine shops around western PA. Took me three years to stop fighting the material and let heat distortion do some of the talking. Still cracking welds.
