On a quiet stretch of prairie, an old wooden grain elevator rises above the rail line, with low hills and utility poles extending across the horizon. Rendered in black and white, the photograph brings out the building’s weathered boards and the broad, open landscape around it. A study in rural industry and quiet persistence, it makes a thoughtful addition to a living room, study, or hallway.
