Description
Here Comes the Sun — Cades Cove, Great Smoky Mountains National Park presents Cades Cove under a shifting, dramatic sky. I chose black & white to emphasizes the contrast and texture: bands of light pierce heavy clouds, tracing ridgelines and planting pockets of brightness across the forested slopes while the foreground remains quietly shaded. I made this image on a spring morning as sun peaked between the clouds for a brief moment.
The composition guides the eye from meadow to mountain to sky, offering a plainspoken study of light, scale, and weather. Printed on archival materials, this piece brings a contemplative, natural presence to a room—subtle, grounding, and well suited to a living room, study, or office.
