Here I have a picture of myself actually taken by My wife while canoeing down Eagle River. The one that is actually in the city of Eagle River Alaska. This is our favorite river to canoe and camp on as it is just bout fifteen minutes north of Anchorage so it's an EZ drive to, and we have family living there that can give us a ride back up the river to our car. On the left bank of the river when traveling down stream is the Chugatch National forest, and there are a ton of great spots to camp where you will not see a soul except the other people paddling down river, and most times unless your camp is right on the bank they have no clue your even there. Our plan is to make a camp there this summer made out of wood and mud with it's own little fire place to keep us plenty warm while we are there.
