Description
Tallest Land Mammal – Longest Day is inspired by Midsummer’s Day, the year’s longest light, and by the quiet majesty of the giraffe. With her steady gaze and graceful height, she seems to hold the warmth and stillness of summer in one calm presence. Lush foliage surrounds her, deepening the sense of abundance and wonder.
I also think of her as the mother of Big Baby, the first painting in a series of just two so far — a small but meaningful beginning to a larger story of lineage, tenderness, and connection.
