One of the greatest migrations in the world, these sandhill cranes pause at the Platte River in central Nebraska. Over 500,00 cranes rest and refuel for a couple of weeks before continuing their annual journey back to Northern Canada. The male cranes perform a "dance" to impress their female companions as a mating ritual.
