A splash of colour at St Katharine Docks

One of the things I enjoy about photographing London is discovering artwork in places where you might not expect to find it. Along Cloister's Walk at St Katharine Docks, these vibrant vitreous enamel panels by British artist Dale Devereux Barker bring an explosion of colour and pattern to the canal-side architecture. I was particularly drawn to the contrast between the vivid artwork, the repeating concrete columns and the greenery in the foreground. The person walking through the scene adds a sense of scale and reminds me that this is not simply an outdoor gallery, but part of everyday London.
