Silêncio que Fala: O Poder do Não Dito

Imagem do post 1

The Eye of Time

My journey as an artist began with formal studies in painting and photography, providing the groundwork for my creative expression. Over the years, I refined my abilities before moving on to operate a studio focused on wedding, portrait, and action photography, where I also sold photographic prints—embracing both the artistic and business sides of my field. Currently, my practice revolves around photography, drawing, and digital editing, frequently transforming images into abstract works, surrealism etc., that resist straightforward classification. For instance, one piece originated as a pencil sketch, was digitized in Photoshop, and then further developed using Nano Banana, highlighting the dynamic mix of techniques in my work. The challenge of defining my art echoes my ongoing exploration of boundaries and creative possibilities.

The Eye of Time: This intriguing artwork explores the complex interplay between time and perception. An eye, shedding tears, merges the realms of reality and the surreal, while floating clocks and light bulbs inhabit a cracked earth landscape. The self-portrait subtly emerges from the ground, suggesting a personal connection to the themes of creation and observation. This blend of mystery and symbolism invites viewers to reflect on their own understanding of time. The inclusion of a paintbrush emphasizes how perception shapes our reality.

Hi everyone - I’m Stuart, a digital artist working with generative, fractal-based processes.

I tend to think of what I do less as “designing” images and more as exploring a mathematical landscape: I move through parameter space, pause when something feels alive, and then, after refining it through a lot of small, deliberate decisions, I capture the image. These four pieces sit at different points along that spectrum – from dense, organic complexity to more pared-back, geometric work:

#1. A Walk in the Night Forest leans into a nocturnal, canopy-like atmosphere – almost like walking under wet leaves and scattered starlight.

#2. Weathered Into Meaning is more skeletal and geological, like something worn down over time until only the essentials remain.

#3. Amethyst Angles: Light & Shadow shifts into hard-edged geometry and light, more about planes and value than visibly “fractal” structure.

#4. Nexus sits at the louder end of my work: high contrast, lots of motion, and that tension between structure and near-chaos.

I’m always interested in how other artists here navigate complexity in digital abstraction – whether you start with a clear intention or tend to discover the piece as you go. If anything here resonates (or doesn’t), I’d love to hear how you read it and how you approach your own process.

If you’re curious to see more, you can also find additional pieces on my ArtHelper profile.

Where Dreams Leave Traces

She appears at rest, but nothing around her is still. Lines wander, symbols gather, and quiet orbits move across the surface like thoughts passing through the mind - present, persistent, and never fully fixed. A butterfly-like presence hovers above, suggesting memory, transformation, or inner self just beyond language. Bathed in warm amber light, the piece reflects the paradox of stillness: even in silence, the mind continues to move.

My work often revisits pieces I’ve made previously in an effort to push how far I can take something. The question I find myself edging up against is whether or not a piece can, like life itself, hold endless possibilities within it, and if so, is each one a chapter, or a whole artwork unto itself? To me, each of these says something different and holds weight on their own. But I think shown together these pieces can be confusing for people, even though for me they’re part of the whole. Such is this potential disconnect between artist and viewer that can sometimes be tossed aside in an effort to appease the viewer— at the cost of the artist’s own inquiries— which are obviously such an integral part of the art itself. And round and round we go. Commentary welcome 🙏 Original is a machine stitched collage of cut up gauche painted watercolor papers, using a randomized action of letting each piece fall to the paper before allowing the sewing machine to work its way around w minimal guidance to pin the papers down. I did turn some papers over when they landed w bare side upright since I was not interested in the colors white or black at the time I made this
