"Witset Canyon" Color Pencil Drawing
One of my most dramatic drawings to date. When I was doing the photo shoot I was emotionally pulled into the space between the stoic rock formations and the deep cavern of meandering water. The precarious log lodged into crevasses added a lovely contrast of colour and drama to solid century old cliffs.
To be honest, I wasn't thinking about what someone else might see in this composition but more wondering if I could draw the drama, the movement of the water and the depth of the space. I think I managed to include LOUD and QUIET spaces, color balance and contrasting shapes.
