ABSOLUTELY LALA is my love letter to one of the most important people in my life.
Lala is my oldest friend. She was my assistant when I was photographing for Interview Brazil, and over the years she became not just a collaborator, but a true fashion icon in her own right.
In this portrait, I wanted to let her natural charm speak for itself. Her white hair and her smile glow against the pure black, with only a soft, fur‑like collar hinting at the fashion world that shaped us both. Nothing distracts from her gaze; it’s just her warmth, her playfulness, and that quiet beauty that only time can give.
This painting is less about capturing her features and more about transmitting what I feel when I’m with her: joy, tenderness, and the simple truth that she is, absolutely and completely, Lala.
