HERITAGE - GREY

Description

Heritage – Grey explores the connection between identity, ancestry and the stories we inherit. The figure is wrapped in a woven garment that becomes a visual link to heritage and belonging. The restrained grey, cream and earthy palette gives the work a quiet, reflective quality, while the facial marking introduces another layer of identity and personal history. For me, heritage is not simply something we inherit from the past. It is something we carry, interpret and make our own as we move through the world.
