Description
"The old man and the American beauty" - I took this photo some years ago (1999) in a small village called Santa-Martha in Cuba, while spending a couple of days with a family of cuban friends living there. The image is sort of a "clin d'œil" at Ernest Hemingway's "The old man and the Sea" (even the old man sitting on his porch with his cigar reminded me of Spencer Tracy, playing the role of "The old man" in the movie with the same name). In these difficult times, I also published this image thinking of the situation in Cuba and the blocus US impose on the people of the island.
