Career
For much of my life, my career took me in different directions. I worked as a truck driver, a manager, and a landscaper—jobs that brought me into contact with new places, people, and ways of seeing the world. Through it all, I kept an artist’s eye, noticing the details that give a place its character: the structure of a building, the shape of a landscape, the texture of leaves, or the quiet presence of wildlife.

- I work with pen and ink, markers, gouache, and watercolor. Pen and ink allow me to build detail and define form through line, while markers and watercolor help me develop color, atmosphere, and tonal variation. Gouache adds the option of more opaque passages and crisp highlights. Together, these materials let me explore the character of architecture, landscapes, botanical subjects, and wildlife with both precision and expressive color.
