Description
Medium: Panoramic Photography - Flux Dev The Bardenas Reales is an extensive, semi-desert unpopulated area in the southeast of Navarra. Apart from the wee tourist shelter near the Castil de Tierra and the high-restricted military zone, the only standing structure in the Bardenas is this solitary stone house. Its weathered chimney, fashioned from rusted sheet metal, rises beside a desiccated tree that mirrors its spectral presence. Beyond the house, the pale road bends gently before dissolving into the vast, sun-scorched expanse of the steppe. The military areaoften likened to a Spanish counterpart of Area 51occupies the summit of a plateau, secured by high fences and completely off-limits to civilians. The harsh, almost inaccessible terrain appears reachable only by choppers, emphasizing the isolation and mystery of the site.
