Description
(Transition) Solar Storm explores the intensity and unpredictability of solar energy through layered colour, texture and movement. Inspired by solar storms and extreme heat, the work transforms a phenomenon of immense natural force into an abstract, tactile surface. Warm tones and layered marks create a sense of movement and tension, while the material structure reflects the instability of a changing environment. The work is part of a series examining human-caused environmental change and the ways these transformations affect both the natural world and our perception of it.
