Canyon Lake provides tranquil space for reflection and renewal. This Arizona gem is one of four reservoirs that were formed by the damming of the Salt River in the U.S. state of Arizona. I painted a kayaker gliding along a green river beneath rust-red canyon walls and a wide blue sky. The bright water and textured brushwork bring a lively feel to this peaceful stretch of landscape.
