Description
Joy in Bloom was painted as an expression of emotional release, renewal, and the beauty that can emerge when we allow ourselves to fully feel joy. I wanted the movement of the florals, layered textures, and vibrant splashes of color to feel alive — almost untamed — as if the painting itself were growing beyond the canvas. The intense blues, violets, and magentas reflect both energy and emotion, while the sweeping marks and palette knife textures capture spontaneity and freedom. In creating this piece, I was inspired by the idea that joy is not always quiet or delicate; sometimes it arrives boldly, overflowing and impossible to contain. Through this work, I hoped to create a sense of vitality, movement, and emotional connection that invites the viewer to experience that same feeling of flourishing from within.
