Description
A while ago, I was driving eastwards and looking towards the horizon, where I saw a little village glistening in the morning sun in the distance… a small village with its little church, which was bombed to the ground a few days later… I later captured the beauty of this lost little village in an abstract artwork, as a nostalgic reminder of what once seemed so beautiful… I called it Crimson Horizon, to portray that quiet moment when coral skies melt into cool, calm water. The tiny gold skyline is meant to suggest distant journeys and a soft spark of wonder. I layered washes of coral and blue to balance stillness with a gentle energy.
