Liberty’s Torch

Description

A graphite study of the Statue of Liberty portrays her from a low angle, with the raised torch reaching toward the upper edge of the composition. Soft shading defines her face and draped robes, while loose pencil lines reveal the work’s in-progress character. Its monochrome palette and iconic subject make a distinctive accent for a study, office, or living space.
