Riverside Park in Independence, KS has been a source of enjoyment, and indeed pride, for this small community for generations. Its iconic Logan Fountain has been charming visitors with its patterned water jets since 1948. Watching the colorful spewing water recently, I was inspired by the idea that our dreams rise ever higher - from coins in a fountain, to gazing upwards in hope and wonder. This serene evening was a lovely reminder to treasure the things that bring us happiness - be they old, new, familiar or strange - whenever and wherever we find them.
