This is an artistic interpretation of the Middle Eastern hand known as the Hamsa. It is widely used in all countries in the region as a symbol of hope. I also created this piece on white pine, where I hand drew the images, burned them and then painted them. I used wood stains for the background - a navy for one side, and green for the other. The vase is decorated with the eye another Middle Eastern cultural symbol.

I create symbolic botanical art inspired by nature, storybooks, and the language of color. Through hand-drawn forms, jewel-toned palettes, and motifs like stars, flowers, and the hamsa, I invite wonder, warmth, and reflection.
