Description
What happens when Renaissance observation collides with Pop Art? A Young Hare Called Albrecht Warhol begins with my own detailed drawing inspired by Albrecht Dürer's celebrated hare and then leaps nearly five centuries forward. Naturalistic fur and delicate modelling are transformed through electric magenta, cyan, yellow and halftone dots into an image that playfully evokes the visual language of Pop Art and Andy Warhol. The work is both homage and collision: old-master craftsmanship meets mass-media colour, while an animal once studied with extraordinary intimacy becomes a contemporary icon. 120 × 80 cm, fine-art print mounted on Alu-Dibond under plexiglass. Edition of only 3. Each work is signed, numbered and sealed on the reverse and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity and an original poem.
