Description
Autumn Canopy is a small watercolor study, measuring just 2 by 3 inches and matted to 3 by 4. In this piece, I focused on capturing the subtle rhythm of an autumn day—the way warm shades of orange, yellow, and red gather in a cluster of trees at the edge of a field. The field itself shifts from a golden foreground into softer earth tones near the treeline, while a gentle light blue sky stretches above with quiet gradations. The brushwork is soft and impressionistic, allowing colors to flow and blend naturally, inviting a moment of calm reflection on the changing season. Presented simply with a black frame and white mat, it’s an intimate glimpse of fall’s quiet presence.
