Paul McCartney wrote “Michelle” with the help of his old friend's wife but was inspired to write this song by the French cultural icon Juliette Greco. Michelle is a piece born from reflection and a quiet moment of stillness. I wanted to capture a figure whose posture suggests both strength and introspection—someone caught between thought and presence. This painting captures a sense of emotional introspection and longing, reminiscent of the sentiment in the Beatles song "Michelle."
