Description
"Breath of God" is a 2 ft x 4 ft acrylic mixed medium art piece framed in a beautiful black floating frame. Other painting mediums include spray paint, ash dust, iridescent paints and metallic foil.
This original painting is a visual echo of Ezekiel 37, where the Spirit of the Lord YHWH breathes life into dusty dry bones. After several years of reflection, I created it as a prophetic invitation—welcoming the "Breath of God"—as written in Hebrew—to move into the dry and weary places of our lives and bring full restoration. Scripture also alludes to God creating us from the dust of the earth, and back to dust we shall someday return. The breath flows out of the heart of God’s love to give us life. Inside the breath flow are the Hebrew words "Breath of God". The Holy Spirit is seen subtly with a dove included amidst the breath flow. The human form is inhaling the first two Tetragrammaton letters of God's name and exhaling the last two Tetragrammaton letters of God's name. This signifies how He is literally in our every breath.
