This captivating painting is inspired by a week spent on the Danish island of Anholt – a place that has always felt like a small world of its own. When I was a child, we sailed there several times, drawn by the silence, the vast sea, and the endless beaches.
I wanted to capture the island’s soul and colors in my painting – the turquoise water, the blooming rugosa roses, and the feeling of stillness and wonder. A place far removed from the noise of the world, with an energy unlike anything I’ve experienced elsewhere.
