I painted Evening Light Across the Bay in my studio in one of those moments when everything suddenly felt simple and good — when the sky turned soft with gold and blush and the whole bay seemed to glow back at me.
As I worked, I felt my body slow down and my heart lift. It was like the day was smiling before it rested, and I couldn’t help but smile back.
This painting is my way of saying thank you to that moment, and of sharing that light, that softness, and that quiet joy with you, wherever you are and however your day has been.
