Exodus, Artisanal Design Print with the Look of Mosaic, from my Wonders Without Number Collection, Torahic Themes Rendered in the Visual Language of Artisans of Stained Glass, Fused Glass, Mosaics, Tapestries, Cloisonne, and Batik This series emerged during the pandemic, when daily views of the trees and garden outside my studio became a sustaining source of beauty. Transformed through digital processes, I developed images of my own traditional paintings. I extended and developed my own work through this compelling series by altering their color, shape, lines and compositional elements, shifting them from observation to abstraction, with an “artisan sensibility”, in homage to the thousands of makers throughout history who worked with stained glass, fused glass, mosaics, tapestries, cloisonne and batik and so much more. The heightened palette amplifies their energy, linking organic forms to enduring archetypes such as the Burning Bush and the Garden of Eden. They have the look of fine silk screen or Giclee prints of professional quality. For collectors and curators, these works represent a dialogue between tradition and innovation, rooted in nature yet resonant with timeless symbols of resilience and renewal. The series comes in square and rectangular formats.
