For years, I've eagerly anticipated witnessing whales in Commencement Bay, right near my home. Finally, I had the chance to capture them on camera. It takes perfect timing, the right equipment, a lot of luck, and then—poof!—I snapped a photograph worthy of a painting. With Gig Harbor fading into the distance and Vashon Island gracing the shore to the right, that moment became pure magic.
