Worn Wooden Stool

Description

A well-worn wooden stool stands against a quiet, pale wall, its round seat and sturdy crossbars showing the character of everyday use. Soft, angled light brings out the warm grain and gentle contrast with the simple tiled floor. Its understated presence would sit naturally in a calm, thoughtfully arranged space.

Artiste

Woodworker in Portland, Maine. Small furniture and carved pieces, mostly hand tools because the noise of a router puts me off. Spent two years making wobbly stools before I learned to cut a joint that actually closed. Still humbled by end grain.
