Scale, context, and moment...storytelling in photography requires layers of complexity, while keeping things simple and clear. Here, a towering glacier in Kenai Fjords NP looms in the background of two small gravel planes parked on a beach. A simple, but powerful story of exploration at the edge.

Storytelling photography, to me at least, isn't about the perfect sharpness, or even camera settings in general...it's about the moment. We love the photos of arctic wildlife, when they come together, but so much of our time is spent searching...looking...waiting for the moment.
