I'm wondering if making videos for social media and the website are really the only audience grabber now since no one really reads anymore? (not said critically...okay, maybe a teeny bit!!) After 1.5 years of getting no where on my business (except for painting) I spent all day yesterday trying to learn the application and making my very first Heygen video....never thought I would see the day as I am 100% absolutely terrified of being in front of the camera. Luckily, I am a fairly decent writer, so I just spoke what I usually only write. I even posted it to my About page on my website....very proud of myself!

Love that Linnie. Text is not dead though... its just each of the mediums; written word, spoken word, video reaches different audiences.

So try and post from all three when you can.

Other than social media and a website, what are other marketing possibilities?

i posted a painting of a person's head and it isn't done. i got so many likes. this was on instagram. i took a webinar course via Golden Paint and enjoyed it and love their paints. they said to include them on a post so I did. Ive posted a lot on may social platforms. it seems odd making it all about me. yet there is something good coming of it.

Posting = getting your art out there. Not every one is gonna be a hit but the only thing that matters is the consistency of it.

The alternative is nobody knows about your art.

Thoughts on hashtags now?

On Instagram is what you are asking I assume. President of Instagram has been downplaying their effectiveness for the last year or so. You can include a few but do it quickly and never waste time on it. They no longer move the needle on Instagram.
