Description
A small and delicate kite made with Japanese-style Sekishu paper, bamboo, and graphite. I really enjoy how the graphite powder leaves ridges and ripples as it dries, the pattern remaining reminds me of a technique used by jewelers called "reticulation." The use of lightweight paper and bamboo spars is inspired by Japanese Edo-period kites.
