Tidal Groynes

Description

A weathered wooden groyne reaches into the muted sea, while gentle waves wash across the shore beside a worn concrete slipway. Soft gray skies and subdued tones give the scene a calm, contemplative character. Its coastal simplicity makes a thoughtful addition to a living room, hallway, or study.

I paint beachfronts, familiar landmarks and artist homages with warmth, vivid colour, and a touch of quiet humour. My work (hopefully) includes wonder in everyday places and the unexpected in familiar scenes. Usually including a man and his dog.
