Arc Wrapped Nuit

Description

Wrapped in Light In 2021, Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s Arc de Triomphe was sheathed in 25,000 square metres of recyclable fabric, transforming a familiar Paris landmark into a temporary work of monumental scale. Here, long-exposure light trails sweep across the Place Charles de Gaulle, while the Avenue Carnot sign and ornate lamppost anchor the scene in its urban setting. Framed by foliage and deep night, the image presents Paris as both historic city and evolving artwork. A distinctive addition to a space that welcomes architectural drama and stories with a sense of place.
